Displays at the Centennial Party

We were challenged with creating a way to display without making a mark on the beautiful walls of the Manke Barn.  In the end, we painted 4’ x 8’ insulation boards with black chalkboard paint and used extra-strength adhesive mounting squares to attach them to the walls.  We held our collective breath each time we put one up and exhaled only after it stayed up overnight. We likened them to the blackboards that hung on the walls in the Holly Schoolhouse. In the Schoolhouse years photo, you can see a bit of an original school desk Mike Stever loaned us and will donate to the new building.
