#12: Before a school was established in Holly, children walked about 4 miles to this school in the Dewatto area. This photo was taken about 1897. Back row (left to right): Winnie Green, Louie Pfundt, Philip Green. Middle Row: Clara Lincolnfelte, Nina Green, Dora Pfundt, Don Green. Front row: Henry Pfundt, Mamie Pfundt, Kate Pfundt, Mabel Nanse. Their teacher, Miss Gibbs, is at the far right. I was unable to learn the name of the class dog.
